About Dr. Johans
Dr. Johans, a St. Louis native, earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia and completed his neurosurgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.
He specializes in spine surgery, treating conditions such as neck and back pain, cervical and lumbar radiculopathy, and degenerative spinal disorders. His expertise includes cervical disc replacement, cervical fusion, and lumbar fusion surgeries.
Dr. Johans takes a personalized approach, especially with active patients like golfers and tennis/pickleball players, helping them understand how their movements impact spinal health and guiding them to stay active longer.
His goal is to improve quality of life through collaborative care and tailored treatment plans, both surgical and non-surgical. Outside the Clinic, he enjoys traveling with his wife and two kids, playing golf, and cheering on the Cardinals, Blues, and Mizzou Tigers.
