About Dr. Polinsky

Michael N. Polinsky, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon with Neurosurgery of St. Louis. He treats surgical conditions affecting the brain and spine, including disc disease, degenerative spine disease, spinal stenosis, tumors of the brain and spine, brain hemorrhage, hydrocephalus and epilepsy. Non-surgical options and minimally invasive surgical techniques are always considered when appropriate.

Dr. Polinsky earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois. He graduated with honors from the Washington University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery internship and neurosurgery residency at the University of Michigan Hospitals. He has been honored to serve the St. Louis community since 1997. He is currently Chief of Neurosurgery at Missouri Baptist Medical Center.

Dr. Polinsky has been published in referenced journals, authored book chapters and garnered multiple awards for his clinical excellence. He is intensely committed to educating his patients so that they make truly informed decisions. He is consistently selected by his peers as one of the Top Doctors in St. Louis Magazine.
