About Dr. Purvines

Dr. Purvines is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Neurosurgery of St. Louis.

As a board-certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Purvines treats a wide range of complex, degenerative conditions, including back pain, brain and spinal tumors, cervical spine disorders, complex spinal disorders, degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, lumbar spine disorders, and spinal stenosis among others. He can also help surgically treat chronic pain with dorsal column stimulator (DCS) implantation.

Dr. Purvines completed his undergraduate studies at Purdue University and obtained his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in neurological surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine.
